Hey there! Glad you've stopped by!

Where to begin? Well, today I have a passion for life that has grown out of MANY twists and turns. I am 41 as of writing this (November 2021). For the last 16 years I've been an aircraft mechanic. Very slowly, I have awakened to the priceless value of our existence and the delicate balance of nature and the world around us.

For the vast majority of my life I had been okay with the status quo. Merely surviving and often times hating life in general. I've been tired, depressed, overweight, suicidal....just plain lost in deep darkness. There is really nothing to say other than Jesus met me in my darkness and delivered me. Today the miracle that is Life overawes me. The miracle of the food that grows from the ground, the air that we breath and sustains us, the glory of God in everything that exists, especially the "mundane", is such an incredible gift and honor to be a part of. I'd like to share that with you, if that is something that you're interested in, in fact we are already doing it now. It's good to see you. Hope to grow closer in the future.

My interest in health and natural healing began in 2004 with the premature birth of our twin daughters. Both had their own unique issues, but "Twin B" developed a gastro-intestinal disorder shortly after receiving her first round of vaccines. It probably didn't help that she was consuming about half of her calories from formula either. Years of allopathic medicine and specialists never gave us any answers, but only a list of medications with lots of side effects that I was not comfortable with. (Thank God, because now they're linked to
cancer!) In 2010, after the birth of our 3rd child, "Twin B's" anxiety and digestion issues increased so much that she stopped reading simple words and could barely keep any food down. We finally found a holistically minded doctor who helped us to discover the root cause of her issues and understand the interconnectedness between the gut, the brain, and the spirit, which started her on her journey towards healing. Praise God for good doctors!
Since then, I have been through some of my own health hurdles, from complete organ prolapse after the birth of my fourth baby to post-Covid heart arrythmia to major back pain stemming from a herniated disc. But as I lean into the Lord for guidance, He is always faithful to show His love and provisions.
Currently, I am working towards finishing my degree in Biology. I am a trained clinical herbalist and an associate member of the American Herbalist Guild, working towards the distinction of Registered Herbalist (RH). I am also trained in holistic nutrition through Hill College's Holistic Wellness Pathway. I am a professional member of the National Association of Nutrition Associates (NANP) and will be testing to receive my BCHN certification (Board Certified in Holistic Nutrition) within the next few months. My training also includes health coaching, and my next step will be board certification with the National Board for Health and Wellness Coaching (NBHWC).
